Why rampage jaskson is fighting jon jones for the title?

lyoto machida should fight jon jones hes the only 1 who can beat jon jones rampage is a good fighter n he fought very well against hamill trowing knees n leg kicks(that kinda wierd ) but i dont think that hes gonna defeat jon jones ,,.
